Crazy Things

We went up to Idaho this weekend for my niece's baptism. It was great and I got to see a lot of my family. Traveling was quick and thankfully the roads were clear. Earlier in the week I had been having some pain in my eye and thought that I had gotten a cold in it, by Thursday it was beet red. All weekend I felt like Ruldolph with my extremely red eye. By Saturday I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it. Thankfully my brother has a lot of medical knowledge, so I called him and got a hold of my sister-in-law instead and she told me what I needed to do. I have UV-itis. And now the pain is basically gone, there is still some red, and I am almost completely blind in my eye, thanks to the medicine making my eye so blurry. But hey I can stand some blindness as long as the pain is gone and it is necessary for my eye to get better. Hopefully by the end of this week I will be back to normal.

Another crazy thing is that we have this toy train that we got as a hand me down 2 Christmases ago. The engine was supposed to make noise and sounds, but it never worked and so my kids have been having fun with it anyway. Well all of the sudden, about a month ago, the kids were playing and the whistle started to make noise and then the light started working and now the engine works like it is supposed to.

Sometimes Crazy things just happen.

Countdown

Finally, I can start counting down. The Dr. said that I have to go at least 2 more weeks, but then I will no longer be considered pre-term. So I now have anywhere from 2-3 to 7 weeks left. Yea!

Stress and Blessings

I have felt so stressed out lately that it has really affected my mood. It seems that it is constantly pouring at our house. Every time I think things are going to be ok with the pregnancy then we find out about something new. For instance we just got good news that I had quit hemorrhaging in the placenta, but then found out that I was borderline with gestational diabetes. The kids don't let me sleep. Scott's working on his last CPA test , and the list can go on and on. There are so many days when I just want to scream and make it all stop. But then I got on the blog last night and saw Emily's blog about being grateful, and realized that I needed to focus on my blessings. So here is my list.

1) My kids - with all the trials and miscarriages I have had, I am really grateful that I have the kids I do. I love them so much and am glad that Heavenly Father let me keep them.

2) My Husband- he works so hard and even though we struggle, he has always made it so that I could stay home with the kids. I am really grateful for that.

3) My Friends- you all seem to always know exactly what I need when I need it. Like the other day when Ann brought crafts and bread over. Thank you, it was wonderful. I know that you guys will pick me up when I need the extra help.

4) My Calling - I am grateful that at least once a week I can go to Church and focus on all those kids and what they have to offer me. And for three hours everything else seems to disappear.

5) My family - I love phones and e-mail. I am so grateful that even though I live away from most my family, I can pick up the phone and they are there.

6) I am grateful I am not alone. I am grateful that there is always someone there for me, to help me and guide me and teach me all the time.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Let's just say sleep deprivation. The last two weeks seem to have rolled into one day. That's how little sleep I got. It was great though. We did mostly homemade gifts this year, which I always think are more fun, and more stressful : ). The kids loved them. The next great thing was that my sister and her family came from Idaho to visit. They went 35mph the whole way, but finally made it. We played lots of games and ate lots of snacks. I swear I have gained all my required 20-40 pregnancy pounds in the last two weeks. My goals for the new year are:

1) Make it through the month of January and first week of February without having the baby.

2) Have my baby. (no duh right)

3) Get to the point where I can finally play with my kids again.

4) Play, Play, and Play lots with my kids.

5) And ultimately just have a good year.

Gift Certificate

Scott won a gift certificate at work for a free 30 minute massage. It is at a chiropractic center in Sandy. I am not going to use it. If there is anyone who would like to take it off my hands please let me know.

They're Home

After 3 months Emma and Jordan are back home. (Hopefully to stay) We celebrated by putting up the Christmas tree. My home was once quiet, but not anymore. It was amazing how quickly the noise level changed. Hannah is so happy to have them back. I am happy, but very tired. I quickly forgot how much energy three kids required. It also amazes me how much the kids have grown and changed.

We Are Having...

We had an ultrasound and it looks like Jordan is still going to need a brother. We are having a girl. We are all very excited though, especially Hannah. She has been wanting a girl from the begining. And she has also decided that she wants to name our baby. We'll see.
